Cutting-edge post-rock duo Moja -- winners of the 2007 Japanese GBOB Challenge final -- have been making waves worldwide every since. After being placed a very creditable third in last year's World Final they were invited to play in this June's NXNE (the sister festival to SXSW) in Toronto, Canada (pictured). And that's not all. This July a New York promoter has lined up a bunch of dates for them in an around the Big Apple. Then in September they will play at the prestigious Envol et Macadam Festival in Quebec, Canada thanks to the promoter of that event being impressed by their performance at the World Final in London last December. Featuring boy singer/bassist Haruhico Higuchi and powerhouse girl drummer Masumi Sakurai, Moja cannot be compared with anything you've heard before. What they certainly are is a dynamic live act that commands you to sit up and take notice.
