RG Musicom is a small, independent music label and recording facility based in the East Neuk of Fife. Our goal is to help all musicians of all styles*, whether newcomers or veterans, to get a start in their journey into the music market. Whether it's a demo version, a marketable product or just a memento for posterity, we'll give you the most professional sound possible at an extremely affordable price.
We are also very well aware of the difficulties faced by students in recording their own music, which is why we have a dedicated pricing system specifically for students.
Our focus on accessibility and affordability means that we'll only charge a flat rate per song, so you have the luxury of taking as long as you like in our Vector Sigma Studio to get that sound you want. From as little as £15 a song**, you can have all the time you like to make a masterpiece. We're on hand to offer advice on production but in this studio you're the boss: we'll do our best to make your ideas into reality. You can take away your rough recording for whatever you like, or for a little extra we can mix and master your music for you, making it ready for whatever media you have planned for it.
We offer more than just recording facilities - we are also a label, but with a difference. We don't sign you - you sign us. Whether you want to record with us or already have music recorded elsewhere, we offer the benefits of being part of a larger body: unlimited promotion via the internet and promo CD's, sales via online music stores such as I-Tunes, "An Evening With" performances alongside other label musicians, press releases, networking and advice on professional manufacturing of your music. You select the level of service you want and we'll do it for you for as long as you want.
At the helm is Rich Gordon, a musician who has spent the last 5 years recording his own music, honing his crafts creatively, technically and theoretically, both as a musician and as a studio engineer. He has also foraged his way into the music world by self-producing two albums and on the way has amassed a lengthy list of musical contacts that have formed a network of musicians, organisations and other groups of people who are indispensible in the forming of a career in music, such as other sound engineers, web designers, photographers and promoters, all of whom can also be brought on board. So even if you're a solo artist looking for a session band, it can be arranged for you! As you can see, we know what it is like to be in your shoes.
